Hansolo Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Hi Guy, I am fresh out of ideas. I have been running Tacview 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 without any problems but after upgrading to Tacview 1.2.6 my recordings has stopped. I am running DCSW 1.2.8.27915 and Tacview 1.2.6. In my C:\Users\HMA\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts I have following related files: TacviewExportDCS.lua Export.lua The Export.lua does contain following line in the bottom: local Tacviewlfs=require('lfs');dofile(Tacviewlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/TacviewExportDCS.lua') In my C:\Users\HMA\Saved Games\DCS\Config I have the network.cfg set to following: allow_object_export = true, The Export.lua is running as this is also used to start export to Helios which is working. Still Tacview doesn't record anything after the upgrade. I am sure it something very simple right in front of me but I just can't see it. Thanks for the assistance in advance. txmtb Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Not sure if it's the problem but it should be Tacviewlfs.writedir, looks like there is a space in that word, Tacviewlfs.writed ir, in your Export.lua string. Hansolo Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks txmtb. Must be while copying into the thread. Have just checked. There is no space in Tacviewlfs.writedir inside the Export.lua. You got sharp eyes though  Cheers Hans 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album
ajax Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Make sure the 'Record [DCS World] Flights' is enabled on the Tacview menu (globe icon). It seems after my last update it was unchecked.

Hansolo Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Thanks Ajax. It was set for recording and when done so it generates the TacviewExportDCS.lua and make the change to Export.lua as it should. I have also tried to copy an older backup of both the Export.lua and TacviewExportDCS.lua into the C:\Users\HMA\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts but it is the same. cheers Hans 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album
Hansolo Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Hm.. Not sure what was the trouble. Deleted the complete \saved games\DCS folder and rolled on a backup. Now it works after installing Tacview 1.2.6. Can't figure out why it stopped working after uninstalling 1.2.5 and installing 1.2.6. Anyway it works now. Thanks for the effort guys  Cheers Hans 1 132nd Virtual Wing homepage & 132nd Virtual Wing YouTube channel My DCS-BIOS sketches & Cockpit Album

Mainstay Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Had the same problem for some reason my export lua had remains of TARS in it where i didnt had TARS installed anymore. After removing the few TARS lines in the lua file Tacview started recording again.
