Hi, I hope I can describe my problem properly. My setup is the following:

physical screen placement: 1 2 3

_________________________4

screen arrangement in windows: 1 2 4 3

screen 1 and 3 are 1920x1080 (both used for helios)

screen 2 is my main screen (4k monitor running at 2650x1440)

screen 4 is a USB screen for helios and mfcd exports

so in order to get what I want, I do set the in game resolution to render the game across screen 2 + 4: 3926x1440 final resolution.

That means 2560x1440 for the cockpit view and the remaining 1366x1400 for the USB screen for the lua exports

In DCS 1.2 that works like a charm, the game renders properly on the main screen (2), while the mfcds are exported to screen 4.

In DCS 1.5, it still works basically, but the game renders now on screen 1 instead (and partly also stretches on screen 2, since 1 cant accommodate this high res), even though screen 2 is set as my main display in windows.

I can work around it by re-arranging the screens in windows and have screen 2 on the very left (so like this: 2 4 1 3). However this is unnatural, since when I want to mouse over to screen 1 (the left screen, I need to actually move the mouse to the right).

The short version is, how can I force DCS to use my main screen, and not simply use the screen which is on the left side? Again, on 1.2 it works as intended.

I have win10 and read posts about scaling etc, but I have scaling set at 100%, so this will not fix it.

thank you so much for reading this, I would appreciate your help!

If I understand correctly, the only screen being rendered by DCS is your hi-res monitor, the others being exported Helios or other images. Try moving your screen '2' to the left in Windows and select '1 Screen' in DCS with the hi resolution.

Hi and thanks for replying!

yeah, exactly. Thats how I can make it work, by moving the high res screen to the left, as you suggest.

Thats however not what I want, I want it in the middle :)

In DCS1.2 it worked as intended.

Sorry I didn't read your post correctly.

There are definitely problems with multi-screen, I have one with my Nvidia Surround.

Yes this is my problem to. I Cant export my mfcd to screen two and get it working. But to get my 3d vision to work i have to hit left ALT+ENTER and when i do its all moved back in to screen 1.

At this point in time it isn't possible to get DCS to work in full screen mode across multiple monitors unless they are all part of an 'Eyefinity group' (or NVidia equivalent) and seen as a single screen. The only way (at least that I know) to have multiple monitors working is windowed mode spanning the full desktop area.

With my setup (3 separate 'displays') if I hit fullscreen it crams compresses the image to show everything on my main display.

There is the reference to a 'displays' array in the multi monitor files (I think the 3cameras.lua file has it, but at work and cannot check) but I don't believe it is either implemented or enabled. This would then allow choosing which screen shows what (I reckon you could enable stereo mode on the main screen and just normal rendering on the others)
