Donut Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 First image is of a skin I downloaded called 51st Fighter Wing Squadrons (Generic) *Updated* from the DCS user files section. You can see how the skin around the tail number is a flat grey and does not match the rest of the aircraft skin. The tail number font also appears to be a darker black then the rest of the tail number. You can compare this image to the next one which shows what the downloaded skin is supposed to look like. The last image shows one of the default skins with a fixed tail number of 178 but has the bort number overlapping. Even if I leave the bort number blank in the ME, it will still put 000 as the tail number so I am unaware of a fix for this. I am running the latest version of the 1.5 Open Beta. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
AH_Sid Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) It's a known issue. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update. You can fix them yourself so they work with this version, but it means editing the 'description.lua' file for each aircraft (and you might have to change them back in the next version). Basically some mis linked objects in wing flex/buffetting animation. as for bort number material names the name reverted back to the on with the space instead of the _ So, from: "F86_BORT_NUMBER_" to: "F86_BORT NUMBER_" Edited November 17, 2015 by =AH=_Sid 1
AH_Sid Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I see this exact same bug has crept back in with 1.5.3.51171 Again having a space between BORT and NUMBER cures the problem until they fix it again.
