Hey DCS community,

i've updated my DCS version to 1.5.2. Since this update I have a strange problem: When I look around with the mouse I have strange "lags", not framedrops but rather some sort of "input lag". It looks like the mouse movements are not perceived correctly by the game. When I use the buttons on my joystick (EXTREME 3D PRO) or the keys on my numpad (4, 8, 6, 2) to look around it works perfect, no lags or stutters.

I made a video maybe you will undestand it better when you see it.

Regards flexxxHD :)

I'm finding this happening in the GUI - I haven't got around to trying in-sim as yet due to other control issues.

Lotsa lag. It does pick up a bit after a few minutes, but still not ideal.

Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS;

With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!

Still not fixed in 1.5.3.

On the brighter note - at least mouse in GUI doesn't lag anymore.

Not every mouse has software to change this.

It worked fine. ED broke it and IMO they should fix it, not the users.

I agree 100%. Plus, a gaming mouse with high polling rate is more expensive and much better for looking around in every game, except DCS. And I don't like having to my lower polling rates manually every time I play DCS.

However, in the mean time while ED don't fix it (if they will ever fix it), if your mouse doesn't have software to change the polling rate, maybe you could try having a cheap second mouse that you plug in only for DCS. Not the ideal solution, I know, but anyway...

I'm obviously assuming that the cause of your problem is the same as mine... I don't even know if everyone having this issue have a high polling rate mouse...

...By the way, what mice do you guys use?

Modules I own so far:

Update:

As of 1.5.8 this is still not fixed.

Same issue here 1000 Hz 500hz doesnt matter - 125 ok

This is problem of programmers who cant use directinput well.

Exactly. It's sad that it's a regression. It worked perfectly well in the beginning.

I also had serious troubles to control the mouse look and 125hz mode fixed it for me. My mouse has a built in rate changer which I had to use the first time ever.
