How many of you are thinking that price per module is too high?

ED don't you think that you can get more customers using a different sales management?

Every product you make is a piece of art, but with the last Euro/Dollar exchange is a bit too much to afford the buy for most European people:

In USA the average income for a worker is higher than most of European countries. (In Italy after 16 years of service in the Air Force I earn about 1350 euros, 1485$/month at actual exchange rate, while in USA the same rank earn 2325$/month:cry:)

So, instead of making some flash sale and reduce the price of 70%, you can set the price lower and get more buyers.

My personal price ideas would be:

Modules: everyone with a price of 24,99$, except FC3 29,99$ and CA 14,99$

Terrains: variable price from 14,99$ to 19,99$

Campaigns: 4,99$

Just my 2 cents:music_whistling:

It is already cheaper for certain countries, even though that is the same economy that most of ED's employees are under. I have always wondered how they justify western economic prices when the development costs are not incurred under that economy.

2015 GDP per capita based on purchasing power parity (PPP)

lJUPvdK.jpg

If you see this graph, you can assume that it's affordable to buy a module for US Citizen, and very cheaper for a citizen in Luxembourg, Sweden, Irelend and so on.

But in some EU countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece) the price for a module become to be expensive, while in eastern countries the price it is quite unaffordable.

ED should think about that considerations on purchasing power.

In my opinion the price is way too high,as an example- each WW2 module 50$ and then you have to buy the core map Normandy for additional 50$.

I mean , if I want a couple of planes to fly in ww2 scenario I would need to spend 150-200$.At least the map should be provided for free.

yeah, the maps should be free for me too.

And should limit what type of Aircraft you can fly in: do you see realistic an A-10C in Normandy Flying over a '45 village and trying to destroy a Panzer?

or a Bf-109 flying around casino' in Las Vegas?

If they release theatres for free, they can tempt some people to buy new aircrafts to fly in.

In another post I was speaking about a seamless DCS World... like FSX

For me It's better to have a full world modelled and then develop single-ultra-high-detailed terrain-theatres for it.

I hope to see here some words from ED...Wags are you here?

I fully agree that for some people the price is simply to high and they could sell a lot more copy's if they lower the price in the southern and eastern European country's (and probably some south American and Asian country's aswell). I am lucky to live in a country where my wage is enough to justify a purchase.

Though I do see some problems with local prices. What is going to stop me from buying modules from other country's for a much lower price. Not that I would do that, but I can see it being a problem. How to stop me from setting up a proxy internet connection from Ukraine and buying modules for cheap prices and then transfere them to my Dutch account? I am not sure if that would work, but it is one of the things I can see causing problems.
