Every mission creator knows that feeling:

You've build a large mission with dozens of client slots. Now, you must create waypoints, so that everyone knows where to go. And you must do that for EVERY SINGLE GROUP!

Then you get feedback and want to modify something. You move targets to another place. And you must do it ALL OVER AGAIN.

Then someone complains about his TGP not pointing at the ground because you didn't notice the waypoint not being at ground level. You know what you have to do....

Wouldn't it be nice, if that could be made easier?

Fortunately: It can!

Introducing: Baron's FlightPlanTool

The principle: Create the waypoints once. Run the mission through my tool and have the waypoints replicated.

This is how you do it:

  1. Download and install Lua for Windows
  2. Download and extract Baron's FlightPlanTool
  3. Create a group (helicopter and plane supported)
    Name it: FlighPlan1 (or FlightPlan2, FlightPlan3....)
    Build waypoints
    Enable Late Activation
    Refer to picture 1
  4. For all the groups that shall receive the route:
Build a waypoint that is called the same (FlightPlan1)
This can be the initial point too!
    Refer to picture 2
  5. Copy the .miz file into the folder where you extracted the tool to
  6. DRAG the .miz ONTO the .bat
    Refer to picture 3
  7. Done
    Refer to piture 4

Now even though my tests didn't show any issues, this comes of course without warranty of course. So backup your files first. Do not run the tool over a .miz that is currently opened in the Mission Editor, that caused problems with loss of information. To be safe, close DCS beforehand.

Have fun!
