Little things I noticed Small tweaks to make..

I spent an hour trying to write up a little guide but it got lost so here is the short and sweet of it.. here is the name of the mission I tested in:

107th_TTI_Ground_Attack_CAS_Training_Normandy..

here are my system specs:

1. Intel i5 7600K @ 4.8GHZ Kaby Lake

2. MSI Z270 SLI Latest drivers from MSI

3. Asus 1080GTX 391.35 NVidia drivers..

4. Corsair Dominator 3000mhz 16GB Dual channel.

5. Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD Sata3

6. 2 Acer X12611P DLP 3D vision Projectors. 2048 x 768 @ 120hz

DCS Likes A lot of RAM, VRam and Pagefile.. I looked at how much PAgefile usage DCS 2..5 used and it was at 15300MB..

So, I was wondering if the Pagefile that is set too Auto does it adjust accordingly?? I am not sure but I do not think it does.

So I set mine to 1.5 to 3.0 times my RAM size which is 16GB it seemed to have smoothed out the roughness after all the tweaks I made..

Another big thing I noticed is the amount of RAM this game uses I had 1 mission where it was using 9GB. Now to those of you with 8GB I think this could cause stutters most have been seeing so try tweaking your ingame settings or get more RAM IF Possible..

I set me Terrain Details to LOW as you can not tell the difference I seen the screenshots, but the ram saved is a lot.. I seen a difference of 2GB in one mission..

You if having a K model CPU Overclock the snot out if it DCS Likes High clocks on CPU ;)

One Last thing is that Windows and NVidia users the 388.xx drivers are bugged and cause stutters. I read 100 pages over at the GeForce Forums and seen tons of threads about it it is well documented..

I am not sure about the 390.xx series but 388.xx is definitely borked so try some older drivers that can be found on NVidia website if you know where too look..

Now I don't think there is a red/blue pill here to take as some users like myself are not effected by the stutters. so it is really hard to say it is definitely this or that so if you are getting stutters take some time and tweak some settings and graphics settings..

One last mention and that is of MSAA, I turned mine OFF ingame and use the NVidia CP to set a few others that have the same effect without the heaviness of using it..

Well I was over at Microsoft and looking at the Pagefile sections seems it is best to check your Pagefile with all your prgams that you use like say DCS and TrackIR then see how much Pagefile you use and what size dump you allow and then base your size off that..

It seems the best they seemed to suggest was 1 to 3 times your RAM Size...

But I am still looking into the NVidia bug..
