Hi,

I just ran the update for the latest OpenBeta game update (haven't got the PG Map yet), and now when I start up DCS and try to fly any kind of mission or training flight or anything, it proceeds to load the mission, but after about five seconds it politely tells me DCS has crashed and takes me back to the desktop after saving log files.

I monitor the DCS log file with LogExpert and have noticed when the crash occurs, the following lines appear

INFO EDCORE: G:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\edterrain4.dll

INFO EDCORE: # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at D161B929 00:00000000

I have attached the ZIP file saved by DCS for your reference and hope you can shed some light on the issue.

I have tried to delete the FXO and Metashaders files from Saved Games, and have also started with a complete fresh preferences folder in Saved Games (attached log files are from fresh prefs).

I can still fly without a problem using my Release install of DCS but simply cannot get OpenBeta to start any mission.

OpenBeta is not usable for me at all after this last update.

I look forward to a resolution to this problem

Resolved

OK I've reverted back to a system backup from a week or so ago, and have reinstalled the update and it is now working on the new OpenBeta.

However there is an incredible amount of stuttering / lagging / stalling.

Particularly when there are any other aircraft or ground units in visual site.

This is the same in all the flights and aircraft combinations I have tried.

I haven't been able to get into Multiplayer yet but I'm not looking forward to getting lag killed all the time.

Please Eagle Developments fix this up. It's just getting worse with each update.

It makes the game unplayable as it should be played.
