Frederf Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 The Russian cockpit textures, English cockpit textures, and English manual text description are all consistent about the "telephone" and "telegraph" positions of this particular switch on the ADF control panel. However, when the switch is in the "up - TLF" position then clearly telegraph behavior is seen. Background tone is squelched and only the clear Morse code beeps are heard. This behavior is designed to understand Morse identifiers, like those used by the telegraph system. In the "down - TLG" position then clearly all sound is heard, background tone and Morse beeps. This mode has no squelch and is obviously designed to hear human speech like a telephone.
