asparagin Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I wanted also to give commands to AI or groundcrew by voice. The one option is the VAC software, with which some folks made good experiences, although it doesn't seen to cost much, I kept looking on the net and found the following software which is a freeware. The installation is not so straightforward because it was made for winxp and Netframework 1.1 but it works fine on win7, and I'll continue testing it. Here is how, if you want to give it a try: 1. Software + downloadlink: http://clans.gameclubcentral.com/shoot/ If you have winxp and Netframework 1.1 installed you're probably good to go, if not: 2. Install Netframework 1.1 in vista or win7 like in here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/12/27/install-microsoft-net-framework-11-on-windows-vista-fix-regsvcsexe-fails-error/ 3. Copy this file to the software's folder location (you will need to register on their forums to download the file) http://www.gameclubcentral.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=444 Install ready, now you must make game profiles, they are in .xml format, best is to modify existing ones. There are also some default profiles available for IL-2 and Falcon. The software uses the speech recognition engine of windows, so you must be a bit familiar with that one also. I found that the easiest method to insert new commands, if yo don't want to train the software is to use the "custom dictionary" option from the shooters menu. You can then record a phrase and assign it than to a key. The softwares forums contain also all the info you need. Cheers!
