Vakiwey Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Its been long time since I bought the BS2 upgrade.. now in every big upgrade, like this 1.2.7 I have to uninstall everything to get dcsw working. This time, the upgrade form 1.2.6 is not working on my win8.1... and again, I have to unistall everything, download the 1.2.7 versions and because I bought this BS2 ugrade, i'll have to install lock on, fc 2, bs 1.. to get the bs2 running... Can you fix this already please, and unify the 2 versions in one download... this is annoying.. I'll be waiting for your answer before installing, thanks.. Edited February 8, 2014 by Vakiwey

I don't know how feasible it is but if it could be made so that the customer could give the codes for the old and for the new, upgraded one, modules in one activation window (without having to install all the old files) would be great solution. To my understanding what puts money to EDs pockets are the activation codes. If someone uses the right codes to the right PC it shouldn't be a problem not having the whole installation of the old files. But it all depends on how the DRM works.

You only need BS1 installed in order to get BS2 running in DCS World ... (but I support your general idea, though. I would not mind if ED would offer a way to trade 1xBS1 key + 1xBS2upg key for 1xBS2 key)

I doesnt find it.. again, totally annoy and dissapointing :doh::( Well, the practice is, you needed LOMAC only for installing DCS FC3, but never for BS. Anyhow, even this prequisite is obolete now with 1.2.7. You never needed to install FC2 for any DCS module (but it could be that an existing installation of FC2 also worked instead of LOMAC ... but afaik LOMAC was already needed to install FC2, so ...) For DCS BS2 you can either install the full version of BS2 or the upgrade version. For the latter, you need to install and activate BS1.
