sondo214 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Ok, so I tried today the Single mission Rebel base (v 1.2.7). Here is what I noticed. Although we are 4 choppers (2uh-1, 2Mi-24) and we all arrive at the rebel base, only my crew engeges the rebels. All other 3 choppers make circles over the base but never engage. Even when shot at, they do nothing. The two Mi-24's every now and then broadcast that they are engaging enemy armour but they do nothing. I can not take down the whole base by myself and eventually get shot... Any ideas?
armageddon Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 It is possible to destroy the whole base without the help from other choppers , you need to take care of the AAs first, after that it is easy.
sondo214 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 And how do i recognice the aa's from far away? I mean if i fly close enough for me to see them they will shoot me! And how do i tell the al gunners to deal with them first? Is there such command? Thanks
armageddon Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Try to engage the base from a different direction so that you have a better view on the targets, zoom in to locate AA's, fire some rockets and turn away for the next approach. Don't forget to activate your gunners, they are doing a pretty decent job on hitting target from far distance. For more effectiveness give the gunners the mini guns instead of m60.Your copilot is also a killing machine, he will fire and hit from a save altitude.
sondo214 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 Finaly that's what I did. The 2 gunners and my copilot cleared the area, but the problem is more serious than how to find a way to complete the mission. We are at v 1.2.7 and the AI is so bad? why?
hitman Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 It used to be the Mi24's would engage the armor first, then attack the AAA sites. Now, the AI just look all big and scary and hope those tactics work.
