Devrim Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Anti-collision is working here. But I can't give guarantee for in-cockpit illumination. b00ce Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Anti-collision lights shouldn't illuminate the cockpit, too much metal in the way. :p One thing that's irked me about the huey was the way the Anti-collision lights are rendered. They should blink, not spin. Reksi-Erkki Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Are you flipping the switch by the mouse, or using a mapped key/button? I mapped the 'CB Anti-Collision Light' (or something like that) onto my MFD and was wondering why it didn't work, even though I could flip the switch with the mouse and the light would start blinking. An old keymap chart says the light switch itself should be RShift + L. The circuit breakers are not included in these maps, but I'm sure they're there in the latest version. Dear Shilka. I hate you so very very much. Love, Rex
BackboneOne Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 false alarm, my friends. it seems "diveplanes realistic improved DCS A10C lighting mod" was the cause of it, anti-collision lights are now working fine. please, remove the topic and thank you for your input  MB: Asus ROG Strix Z390-E \ CPU: i9-9900K NZXT Kraken X52\ DDR4: 3000MHz G.SKILL Trident Z Royal 32Gb RAM \ VID: MSI Nvidia RTX4070 12GB \ MON: Samsung ue49ks8000 49'', Lilliput 8'' x2 CNTRL: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog \ Saitek Combat Rudder pedals \ TrackIR 5 \ Thrustmaster MFD Cougar Pack

I didn't even touch CB keybindings, I just use keyboard to turn it on. Shortly it works with keyboard or mouse... A229th Reaper Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) Anti-collision lights shouldn't illuminate the cockpit, too much metal in the way. :p One thing that's irked me about the huey was the way the Anti-collision lights are rendered. They should blink, not spin. Anti-collision lights have always for the most part been a rotating beacon. The reason for this is that, a light that is moving is much more annoying to your brain than one that just flashes. You'll notice that aircraft that have flashing Anti-collision are in fact a strobe light (which really didn't come into use until the mid 70's) Since the huey was developed a few decades before their common use it has a rotating one. As far as the Huey I point you to this vid. At about 20sec you start to see the Anti-coll, and about 24sec you get the full effect. It is a whole science behind lights... whether they should rotate, blink or flash and how fast. ( keep in mind that a light especially a red one, that pulses a certain rate can throw an epileptic into a seizure) Edited February 14, 2014 by A229th Reaper What system?...Not quite sure, I think its a 64bit system cause the keyboard says 'Commodore64'.

Looks like you're right. b. Operation. The ON position of the ANTI COLL light switch illuminates the anti-collision light and starts rotation of the light (fig 2-5). OFF position de-energizes the light. Slippery Pete Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) I have a question about lights, there's a switch for the NAV lights between bright and dim. But mine are always bright regardless of switch position. The AI Hueys can have set their lights to dim though, not me. Bug? or what? Edit: Ok, I now see there two levels of brightness for the player, but AI Hueys will always have more dim nav lights than you will. Edited February 15, 2014 by Slippery Pete
Reksi-Erkki Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Works fine for me, I've mapped the switch on my MFD along with blink/steady and off. Dear Shilka. I hate you so very very much. Love, Rex
