I just recently upgraded from an x52 to the Warthog and have issue with the slew control on my throttle. The game recognized everything else (had to change the trim buttons due to using Track IR) but the slew function was not properly assigned. It assigned the Joystick axis to the slew controls for some reason. I tried to manually go in and change it but when I try to set the slew axis to the mouse axis it won't recognize it. Has anyone else had this problem. I found another thread via the search but it was closed without an answer.

I haven't used an X52 for quite some time, but from the past I remember that the small mini stick actually moves the mouse. Perhaps you can make it appear as a real stick to DCS rather than a means of moving the mouse cursor? As long as this mouse emulation is running, I doubt you can assign it to HOTAS slew because you can't do that with an actual mouse.

I am actually using the Thrustmaster now so not concerned about the x52 anymore. I may be mistaken in the assignment but in my control profile on the Throttle assignment for slew control it has Joy_X and Joy_Y. Is this what others have in their profile in the control section.

My new concern is that I may have received a bad controller if these settings are in fact correct and the mouse on the right throttle is just not being recognized.

Ah, sorry, I read that wrong, it was a loooong day...

In that case, just go into the game controller settings in the Windows system settings. There you see whether the system recognizes the mini stick movement. If it does, your problem is in DCS, if it doen't, the problem is with your throttle.

Yep I went in and the mouse axis on the throttle was not detected in Target at all. So had to return the stick.

That's a shame, hope they get a working one to you asap. Flying the Hog with proper controls is a joy to behold.

If I got that correct your Warthog Slew couldn't be assigned as mouse axes or actual slew axes? The Slew should be Joy_RX/Joy_RY or something like that. The mouse axes are only to be assigned by the actual mouse unless your slew is set up as a clone of your regular gnawer which is at least possible with the HOTAS Cougar.

For example, I have a Cougar and to use the mini-stick for slew I had to change active axis in CCP (I hate TARGET). In fact my slew axes are now JOY_RY and Slider_2. Don't understand why, but it's working perfect! :D

Oh boy, I got the bad feeling you sent your stick in for nothing.^^

No the slew control on the throttle was not functioning as the slew axis. When I plugged it in the game couldn't find the x/y axis of that button so it assigned it the x/y axis of the stick since it didn't see an axis on the throttle that it was use to seeing.

If you open up the target program you can actually watch as buttons are depressed and they are registered with the software. My slew control would not register within Target at all. It wasn't an assignment issue as I had originally hoped. The board was just flat out bad.
