Fihnakis Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 After I finally figured out my x52 issue I'm now faced with another problem. While doing the Unguided Bombs CCIP training mission I've followed everything to the 'T' but I can never get the bombs to release. So I thought maybe it was another controller issue but then I loaded unguided practice mission and bombs release everytime. Am I missing something in the tutorial or is it bugged?
Fihnakis Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 Tried doing the missions following CCIP and bombs won't release in either CCRP or while doing the KMGU missions.
Exorcet Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Worked for me. Try to post a track. DCS saves the last track/mission in: C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Temp Really useful to know that Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
Fihnakis Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Here is my track using CCIP. Made several runs at the target violently hitting my space bar and nothing, nada, zilch. No weapon release. https://www.dropbox.com/s/br4r2sxlyj2j9jc/LastMissionTrack.trk
kontiuka Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I think the problem is related to how the training missions are set up. You often have to press 'space bar' to proceed to the next step in the training. Space bar, by default, is the same as your joystick trigger so the training mission is expecting a trigger action before you can proceed. If you don't do this when it asks you to, I think it can cause problems.
Fihnakis Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 I'll try and remap weapon fire to something other than space and see what happens
kontiuka Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I'll try and remap weapon fire to something other than space and see what happensI don't think that will make a difference. The training mission is expecting a 'gun trigger / weapon fire' action. I don't think it cares if it's a space or another key. Are you sure when it says "press space to continue" that you are doing so?

I had the same problem yesterday, and remapping the "weapon fire" action definitely did the trick for me. I just put it on the key next to the left shift key (I have a German keyboard, so I don't know what's on there for you) which is not mapped with anything else. The normal space key for firing weapons is still working, too, you just map an alternative, and press that key while you're in training. 1
Fihnakis Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Yep, that was it. Remapped weapon fire to 0 (zero) and it works.
