piXel496 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Hi, Before this joystick I used a Saitek x65 all was fine. Now I want to use the Saitek x55 (Windows 7sp1). Profile "programmed" the buttons with Saitek software, no problem sofar. Switches and buttons work in MSwindows and are recognized in the options/controls menu of DCS. In DCS World ingame the buttons do not replicate the desired actions. example: triggerJoystick = SPACE_keyboard, does not work in game. I deleted old DCS profiles from C:\Users\userName\Saved Games\DCS\Config\. DCS rebuilded it nicely with default schemes. I cleared the options/controls for the joysticks in DCS. Fiddled some more but still no luck.. Can anyone please push me in the right direction? So ingame DCS World can read my direct input profile. Thanks, . Blooze Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) If I understand your post you are trying to rely on your Saitek profile rather than the pre-sets created by DCS. Assuming you have activated the Saitek profile and still have no joy there may be some residual components remaining from the other stick leading to a driver conflict confusing DCS. Try clicking HERE for instructions for purging old files and see if you think this may help. Edited March 24, 2014 by Blooze [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
piXel496 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Thx for repying Blooze! That is good thinking. ButI think that is saiteks FAQ calibration fix for the x65 used for many things. Never the less I completely uninstalled everything and sweeped direct input from the registry again, to no avail... I normally only use profiles of the hardware. But this time I have to do different I guess. Although it is always hard to give up.. Cheers, . :helpsmilie: old stuff I made
Mercutio24 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I had this exact same issue with my X55. Funny thing is, it was only with the stick park. The throttle worked like a pro. I did fix the stick by unscrewing it from the base, giving it a wipe and screwing it back in. I am not saying this will cure yours but it did mine.
