Shahdoh Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Pretty cool, and fun to do in the Mustang, but a correction of terms. That would be called a slip. Tail slides are generally referred to an aircraft sliding backwards from a pure vertical climb. Here are a couple of examples: Tail slide entry before landing at around 14:30: Tail slide after a rolling verticle around 5:00: That was one hell of a slip, probably a bit more then what you would get in a real Mustang. Would need to find out from a real Mustang pilot how far you can get her out of shape and recover (barring spin recoveries).
