Reloading time and performance of M-256

Yesterday i did play C-arms using an M1 Abrams.

 

I was Pretty surprised that the reloading time of the Maingun was about 20 seconds.

Thats pretty unrealistic!

 

Also the Accuracy and Damage of this L-44 Barreled gun is by far better in RL.

 

I tried to Destroy a T-72 on 2800 m distance on Side!!!! It began burning after i hit it 3 times with 5 shoots AP..

 

Guys it did shot on a NEW RL Hardtarget T-72 with and Leopard 2 A5 L44 Smoothbored gun which is nearly the same as the M-256,

on a distance of 3870 m with an HEAT Training round which is in fact a caned piece of concrete.

 

AND

it simply went through Turret (front) and hull and did get out splattered on the other side.

 

Thats been the most perfect shaped 120mm holes i have seen ever in my live.

 

So dont come up with 3 hits with AP on 2800m than maybe it burns...:doh:

Erm... having the exact opposite experience. I've engaged at 3500 meters with ease (which seems to incorrectly be the hard-coded FCS max range: Doesnt the M1A2 have it past 4000? The earlier models were 3500) and getting 1-hit kills versus enemy armor.

 

6-8 seconds seems to be the norm for a M1A2 loader from accounts/conversations I've had, though some particularly bold loaders can get even faster. After they exhaust the main ready rack, they need to go to the other ammo storage which indeed takes 20-30 seconds per round as it has to be passed through the tank to the loader, who puts it on the rack. Technically, though IDK if its doable, the tank should start reloading when idle and transferring all rounds from the storage to the ready rack during downtime in combat... until a Smerch wakes the crew up, that is :P

Edit: Oh i forgot completly that all Tanks turrets in Combined arms comes without Gun Stabilisation.
