Sceptre Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I just re downloaded and installed DCS World (because my old version wasn't working properly) and installed my modules, but when it came to launching DCS World it just came up with a black box that looks like cmd and then it went away and nothing after that. I do not use the steam version, I have the one off the dcs website. I even went into the folder and tried launching it from there with no luck. It's a shame because downloading 8GB DCS World is a lengthy process for my 80kb/s New Zealand Internet lol. Any suggestions? lanna26 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Look's like lots of people are having the same issue, including me. I started a ticket in ED support, and they suggested to redownload the game again (mine is Steam version). My net is terrible, so I asked if there aren't any other solutions to try before, and I'm waiting the answer. As soon as I get it, I'll post here, so you can try it.
Firestarter Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 same here. window pops up and then nothing happens.
Sceptre Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 Here's the fix for the non steam version. Might want to make a backup before you do this. 1. copy all of the contents from DCS World\_downloads into the dcs world main folder. Overwrite if asked. 2. Use Run.exe to launch the game. Should work now! This has worked twice for me on 2 completely different installs.
