When setting the Copilot AI to either return fire or free fire, the weapon selector switch is permanently set to 7.62 (guns) and there is no way to fire either the rockets or the guns with fixed sight. While the physical limitation in the guns is understandable, being able to make a rocket run requires 1-2 presses of the AI toggle and flipping the weapon selector switch to 2.75 (rockets).

Now if I'm the aircraft commander, I should have weapons select authority regardless of AI setting. There are a couple ways I can think of to make this work, and hopefully either of these would be simple implementations.

First option:

When you select the copilot AI to either return fire or free fire, the copilot switches the weapon select switch to 7.62 (as is now). However, if you manually set the switch to 2.75, then the switch will remain there until you set it back to 7.62. This will allow you to perform a rocket run and still allow your CP to clear the zone prior to you running in on a stable heading.

Second option:

Similar to the first, except that you have total control of the weapons select switch, and it doesn't automatically toggle to 7.62 when you cycle the AI to one of the fire modes.

An enhancement to these options might be the copilot requesting 7.62 if he has a target in sight, at which point you could either switch it or keep it at 2.75.

I would really love to see one of these options implemented. The first option makes more sense to me, but perhaps even both options could be implemented with the option to toggle the weapon selector on the special options menu.
