Target lock not working

I can`t seem to get the target lock function to lock onto vehicles with the Ap round selected, it does lock onto incoming missiles. It works correctly with HE.

 

Any Ideas?

 

Edit: just found it will lock vehicles on my own team just not enemy targets.

With AP rounds you will only get a lock if the target is less than 4,000 meters from you.

Thanks Bruce, this is something that has obviously change since the last time I fired the game up.
