Hoist for CSAR?

Once the external load function has been tested and tweaked for DCS I was curious if the next progression would be to add the hoist and winch up and down function so that we can perform combat search and rescue missions with the mi-8 =)

I'd like to see this as well at some point, hopefully it won't be too difficult to model. When it comes to CSAR though, it might be safer to land and pick up a downed pilot rather than hovering in full view trying to winch. I'm holding out for windscreen wiper and cockpit fan functionality first though.

agreed. I think the winch was more for sea, jungle, and mountain rescues. Environment where the aircraft did not have a place to land.
