Belphe Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I do apologize if this is a simple issue that my head simply cannot comprehend... But... I re-installed DCS roughly a month ago and recently updated it to 1.2.8. Last weekend I wanted to demonstrate the sim to my friend so I went to the Mission Editor and placed a "player controlled" Ka-50 on the runway in Sochi. Unfortunately, the sim launched with a different Ka-50 taking off and being piloted by AI. I was unable to "find" my aircraft (F1) or take control over the AI one. I do have it purchased and the "Package Manager" is displaying it (and many others) as "Active". I later discovered that I cannot fly anything at all apart from Su-25T which is obviously free and comes with the DCS World package. Could this be a corrupt file and all I need is re-install or perhaps I "forgot to put a tick" somewhere..? Please, assist me with this awkward problem. Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Belphe Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 Sounds like you did not install the modules. The default DCS: World installation only contains the SU-25T. You need to use the ingame module manager to download the different modules which you own. Yup, that's me being thick... ;) Thanks a lot for that! Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
