It would be helpful to have more specific options for the AI's advanced waypoint attack options. I have a mission where a bomber has two types of guided bombs. As the most specific options I can select in the advanced waypoint options is guided bombs, I can't get the AI to use the correct bombs for the correct target.

Being able to select specifically "GBU-10" or "GBU-38" would remove this issue.

Can't you just remove the other type? Or is it needed after?

I could remove some weapons, but then I'd need a whole other flight to get the other targets.

I'm trying to make a mission where a strike force goes after multiple targets. Some are large buildings requiring heavier bombs, while others are smaller and in more densely packed areas and collateral damage is more of a concern. I could use a few tricks to get around the issues, but more flexibility in the ME would be preferred.

in addition to exorcet's suggestion, i would like to add..

perhaps there's a way to instruct (direct?) the AI that, the PRIMARY TARGET is the emphasis - if another (non-emergent) threat pops-up enroute, preserve ordnance for the primary target

ref:

in this flight there are escort F-15s, SEAD F-16s and strike F-15Es ---- unfortunately, long before the strike package gets to the target area, all a-g ordnance has been either expended or jettisoned ------ later on a -16 attacks the SA-10 site w/ guns........

(in the case of the -15Es jettisoning their ordnance, that might be forgivable since opfor was pretty close aboard - but if you watch the preceding episode and this one, the -16s deployed HARM against AAA --- ??)

bigger picture --- it would be nice if we could specify with a little more precision both ROE, commit criteria and defensive posture (eg: spiked and red air within 30/20nm... commit? lean away? combat jett? notch/retrograde..? these are items covered in a briefing

perhaps asking this of AI is a bit much - but i might as well put it out there

also like to add - could solve all of this if we could just fly all those airframes multiplayer! problem solved!!

*wink*
