Recently the X52 twist rudder (RZ AXIS) is no longer detected. It can still be set up in-game but does not actually perform any action when twisted.

Also the throttle does not increment, its either off and on/full.

I have tested the joystick on other games and it still works fine, i am aware that this joystick used to work with this game fine back in the early days and both here and Saitek still advertise it as fully compatible.

Please help as i need a rudder and working throttle.

Reminder: Joystick is not broken. Still works in other games and in the profile test program. I have reset profile and tried many things. I have uninstalled drivers/game and reinstalled. I am wondering if the most recent patch has messed it or there is something i missing on the profile editor. I also believe i have set it up correctly in controls under "Axis Commands".

Problem might be on your side because it's all working here in my side. I recommend to unistall and reintsall the saitek drivers and utility.

I have tried that to no avail, you using x52 normal and not pro right? Did you have to do lots of tweeking in the profile editor? (for throttle and twist)

Try moving your C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\ folder somewhere else, as a backup, and delete the original folder. This should cause the sim to recreate the directory and default control files when you start it.

Then go through and set up your controls in options as normal.

If you upgraded from an older DCS version to the newest one recently, the input control file configuration has changed and it is not backwards compatible with the older xxxx.lua config files. The new ones are xxxx.diff.lua files.

I have done this several times and whilst/after driver uninstall. I am a little comp savy ;)

Hmmm, sounds like you covered most all the bases, probably except for the one that's causing the issue. :joystick: Looks like you re-installed the game too from the first post.

Its really annoying lol

It worked fine back in the day of fc2, but something is getting muddled up when the game starts as it detects all axis on the stick but just does not let me control rudder with twist... i need more ideas :(

When you reinstalled, did you also delete/rename your Saved Games\DCS folder?
