John C Flett Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Kind of an unusual one but I'm sure the collective knowledge base here can help. I have a clock, its been mounted on wood but I'm told it is from a WWII aircraft. It may be the norm for aircraft clocks but the winder and adjuster mechanism are worked by twisting the glass cover. What I'm hoping is, can anybody tell me the aircraft that this was from ( assuming I'm not misled as to it's origins ). Thanks in advance.
G00dnight Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 What kind of size is it ?.. It looks more like a Marine/boats bulkhead clock to me. It is German 8 day movement. Bekaem made german U-Boat clocks if it helps. AMD A8-5600K @ 4GHz, Radeon 7970 6Gig, 16 Gig Ram, Win 10 , 250 gig SSD, 40" Screen + 22 inch below, Track Ir, TMWH, Saitek combat pedals & a loose nut behind the stick
John C Flett Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 The face is 8cm across. Sorry, should have thought to include that. Thanks, G00dnight. That is an interesting thought, I'll try investigating that route too.
