Godzila Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I see, that some planes in FC3 don't have landing position for flaps. Is that correct or not modelled? I made universal panel and since there aren't separate commands for flaps positions i can de-sync my panel.
GGTharos Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 F-15's only have one position for flaps, which is used for take-off and landing. That is modeled correctly. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Buckeye Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 F-15's only have one position for flaps, which is used for take-off and landing. That is modeled correctly. Isn't there two lights on the left side of the pit for Flaps ("FLAP" in LED's, one on top of the other)? I could be totally off, but if I'm not, what is the difference between when the one light is one versus the other? Metal Hawk Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 ? With a quick glance at the keyboard shortcuts, I see that every FC plane has this setting: "LShift - F" - Flaps Landing Position. Maybe you are confused with the fact that some planes don't have separate flaps and ailerons (like for ex. the su-27). They are designed with combined flaps and ailerons (surprisingly called flapailerons :D). Also how many flaps positions a plane has depends on its design.
Godzila Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Topic title is a bit lost in translation:doh:, but I couldn't edit it. I just wanted to know if it is normal that some planes don't extend their flaps further than normal for landing.
GGTharos Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 What do you mean 'further than normal'? Different aircraft have different controls and design. It's quite normal for the aircraft that does it this way. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
GGTharos Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 It does have two lights. One indicates flaps down/up and the other indicates transition AFAIK. Isn't there two lights on the left side of the pit for Flaps ("FLAP" in LED's, one on top of the other)? I could be totally off, but if I'm not, what is the difference between when the one light is one versus the other?
