I have DCS World and all of my modules installed to my primary Windows 7 x64 login (also an Admin level account), and I wanted to enable DCS World for another user in the household on a standard user level account. DCS World worked fine, but when I attempted to load a mission I was prompted again to activate my modules.

If I set DCS World to "Run as Administrator" it works without activations, but I would rather not have to go this route.

Are multiple activations normally required (if so it seems like a waste of activations), or is it because one account is user and one is administrator?

The licensing is in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics. So I'm thinking those entries are missing from the other users registry, does not explain why it runs with admin privileges though.

Could always try exporting those keys and then import under the other user.

Actually, yes - Admin privs gives access to everything on the machine. (Which is why you should avoid it in general use.)

It is an interesting point though, I'll ask around if there is any avenue to change how that works or easy ways to avoid the problem.
