I have the combat pedals, there are issues with replacement components, but mine have stood up to hours of use.

My experience has always been that you should buy the best you can afford, or you'll just end up spending more later. Personally, I'd love to get my hands on a set of really high spec pedals some time soon. Saitek pedals all have their limitations.

Combat pedals and Pro Flight share the same components, except the pedals are metal F-16 style in the Combat and are adjustable for angle. Note that both have a center detente that you need to open up the pedals to remove.

Thanks. I can't see being able to adjust the angle worth 60 dollars more if the guts are the same.

Do a search here for Saitek pedal mod. Someone did what looked like an easy mod to his regular pedals that made them more like combat pedals.

I'm guessing the combat ones are older than the others if your having difficulty with parts?

It's not that they're old, it is that Saitek have no interest in supplying parts. Seems a very poor approach, and makes a huge difference to me when it comes to buying expensive equipment.
