hello

 

is there a way to link the "invisible" status to one unit being "alive" and another unit being within a given zone?

 

pseudocode: while unit A is "alive" AND unit B is inside zone 1, unit B state is "invisible"

 

currently, "invisible" state is set by passing a waypoint -- i do not know of a way to activate that "invisible" state for unit B beside having it pass a waypoint with that state in the Advanced Waypoint Actions

 

any advice or guidance you can suggest would be mucho appreciated - thx!

This might work. (I'm trying to learn the mission editor commands so not sure if it will or not).

Create units and zones of course.

Create a new trigger with conditions that Unit A is alive, Unit B inside Zone X and action to turn on Flag X.

Set advanced waypoint actions on Unit B to Invisible with the condition that Flag X is on.

Instead of setting invisible (on) as an Advanced Waypoint Option, set is as a triggered action. Triggered Actions are exactly like Advanced Waypoint Options, except they are tied to triggers and not waypoints. When you've added the action put in the trigger menu:

 

Once > Unit A Alive + Unit B in Zone > AI Task Push Invisible (on)

 

If you want to turn it off, set an invisible (off) command in the triggered actions menu as well. Then:

 

Once > Unit A Dead > AI Task Push Invisible (off)
