TrackIR - Positioning of the head

I found that the head-moving with Track-IR feels a bit unnatural.

 

Also if activating some switches the head gets positioned elsewhere (maybe to support users with no Track-IR).

For example if I select the gun to be fired my center view gets positioned a little more down and forward so that I can see better through the glass.

If I lower my gear for a landing the center view gets positioned more upwards and back so that I have a better overview.

If I just fly around without doing something special my center view is positioned a bit up so that its not really possible to view through the glass (where the recticle is displayed).

 

Also the TrackIR zoom axis doesn't zoom that much, I can't read the switch labels without using the DCS-ZoomIn-feature.

 

This "feature" feels very unnatural for me as a Track-IR user because I can move my head self to get a good position to view what I want. (A good, natural implementation for me was e.g. in the P-51D Mustang)

Under Options look in the Special section for the F-86, uncheck the Landing Seat Adjustment and you should be good to go.

I'm sorry if somebody wrote before I could not find. Why canopy sometimes becomes not clear? Some kind of blur and dirt saddenly and after could disapeare itself.

This thread is about TrackIR and not about the canopy. You may find it usefull to create your own thread. Tipp: Give more information about your problem, I don't get what you ask^^
