CookPassBabtridge Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Hi there I wonder if anyone else has found this issue when using the rift with the sabre? I have checked my camera bounds and I am well within them. The flight starts ok, and everything is stable. Then after some maneuvering, the entire cockpit model starts to jiggle. Its a little bit like when TrackIR spazzes out when you get too close to the geometry, except I'm perfectly centred in the middle of the cockpit and camera range. Looking around a bit or recentering with Num Pad 5 makes it stop for a brief moment, but then it returns. As a comparison to see if its my Rift, I am not having the issue with the warthog so it seems to be something to do with the sabre model. Anyone else found this? CookPassBabtridge Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Hehe talking to myself but in case anyone else comes looking with the same issue: It seems that DCS is fussier with camera bounds than other VR apps, and I experimented with putting the camera up higher and further back, with the lens aimed at my chest. Its now about 2 feet above me and about 5 feet away. This seems to have cleared up pretty much all of the jiggle - black shark is rock solid, Huey too. Only the Sabre seems to have the occasional twitch, usually at the end of a head movement COMBINED with maneuvering. Its as though the game is having trouble resolving all the movement and momentarily goes into a spasm. Frame rate seems fine at the time so to me this is more a camera bounds problem. Letting it 'see' more seems to be the answer. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I LIKE TO PLAY PRODIGAL WOMBAT STIMULATOR
