DCS: A-10C Warthog "Oculus Rift" Mission - Defend Camp Yankee

This is a mission in three parts flown using the Oculus Rift DK2 in the DCS: World A-10C Warthog module. It is set up as a split screen with my view on the left and an external view on the right. A known limitation in DCS: World prevented an accurate replay of the external view so the blanks were filled in with the TACVIEW program replay.

 

This is a close air support mission where I respond to calls made by a JTAC on the ground. Both the Oculus Rift and the DCS: World support are in their infancy so I do the best I can with the current limitations. It is still very playable and an all around good time as you will see.

Any chance of getting a DK2 video in the Mig-21?

Absolutely. :) I meant to do it right after this but ran out of steam. I should get one in the MiG done this week.

I like how you don't split the screen. It is so hard on the eyes to watch the DK videos when they split the screen. Is that a new option that came with the DK2?

No, unfortunately I had to go back and record the track and TACVIEW to make that happen. :)
