Marcobolo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Was going to buy FC3 while it's on sale but eshop says the keys bought here won't work on steam version and Steam is not showing it on sale - still $39.99. What's the story on this?

streakeagle Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I don't mind Steam, but given the way the licensing for it works with DCS, I see no advantage to using Steam for DCS. I have stuck to ED shop, which releases new stuff immediately and seems to have amazing sales every other month. If DCS licensing was overridden my Steam to permit as many installs as I wanted on as many PCs as I wanted as long as only one install was logged in/active, the way most Steam games work, I would have happily used Steam. But the present system just creates delays and disadvantages. I also do not use the "Steam Community" for any of my games and could care less about being awarded merit badges by Steam. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Then I can buy fc3 and a10c I want for $32 bucks total. Cheaper than Steam wants for each lol. :thumbup:

I've got maybe 12 hours in the su-25 but most of that has been redoing the tutorials and just flying around to get to know it. Really just got to where I can land it without blowing out the tires :D
