too-cool Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I would really like some one to give me an explanation of how this sight is used, ie; what and how are the different marking used, I understand about the gyro and how to use it but not the fixed. Zabuzard Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 It's a fixed 100-mil sight. It's much the same as a sight for a rifle. You can calculate the distance of the object you're looking at if you know how big it is and the mils it takes in your sight. When you know how far the enemy is away from you you can easily hit the target by studying some range tables (e.g. aim X mils above target to hit it at distance Y). The calculation is of course made very quickly and rough by the pilot, with enough training it's just a solid reference. Heres an explanation of the calculation: http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Distances-With-a-Mil-Dot-Rifle-Scope If you're searching for some bombing-procedures: And some videos: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115298
