Python Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 My apologies first of all, I completely forgot to post this yesterday when it mattered most and a search of the forum didn't show any other threads. For anybody that did miss it, I'll post a link below where it can be viewed online, or just wait for the inevitable repeat on channel 4 HD on which it looked great. So who saw this? I'm a fan of Guy Martin anyway so I was excited about this and it certainly didn't disappoint. Seeing how they build an original MK.1 Spitfire was very interesting. And the aerial footage was fantastic! There was a flyby at the end of the video that made my hairs stand on end (about 1.08hrs in the link.) Certainly worth a watch by anybody remotely interested in aviation. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/guy-martins-spitfire/on-demand/53498-001 . [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Random Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Managed to watch it and it wasn't bad at all. Though they did seem to make out that the .50 shooting up a BMW was representative od what a Mk1 spit would do to a 109.... I was lucky enough to be at the ARC a week ago and a couple of times during the build of this spitfire. Got a decent look at it. They aren't exagerating when they say its probably the best in the world!
