kaglecom Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I would like to install Devrim's Less Dirty Windows mod for the Huey. Here's the problem: I have two installations of DCS World. The first is from DCS and contains all other aircraft. The second is from Steam and contains only the Huey. The read-me file with Devrim's mod states: "Just Drag & drop "UH1_glass_refl.dds" into "...\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Uh-1H\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures\UH-1H-CPT-TEXTURES.zip" file." The "aircrafts" folder contains all the aircraft in my DCS World installation from DCS. The "aircraft" folder contains nothing. I cannot find, after a lot of searching, where the UH-1H Huey is hiding. I basically cannot find the Steam DCS World installation at all - just a lot of Steam files that relate to Steam only (as far as I can figure). Are there any computer whizzes out there that can help me find the Steam Huey, so that it can get "less dirty windows"? Thanks!
Maverick-X Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Steam games are usually stored in ...\Steam\SteamApps\Common The "Aircraft"/"Aircrafts" thing came with the last patch if I'm correct. New structure, what ever that is for
kaglecom Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Thanks for the advice - I checked Steam/SteamApps/Common - there are other Steam games in there, but no DCS World. I wonder where Steam DCS World is found?
kaglecom Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 I just did this amazing thing. I activated the Huey I bought on Steam in the DCS World downloaded from DCS itself. I didn't know I could do that. I was buzzing around the forums, and happened on that post where you copy your CD Key off of Steam and use it to activate a module on DCS. Amazing. Thanks to all.
