Hoggorm Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Hi, I own the Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3, but as far as I know it is not compatible with the DCS Steam version. I see DCS: Flaming Cliffs 3 is for sale at Steam. Can I use my Lock On key to activate the DCS version or is this not possible? Are the two versions basically the same? Up until now I have not used the Steam version of DCS just because of the Flaming Cliff module I own not being compatible with Steam. I still would prefere to use the Steam version if I could. Is it worth buying the Steam version and change all DCS flying to Steam, or should I just stick with the version I have today? Thank you
mvsgas Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 They are both the same, the only difference is activation. You can't use steam keys to activate DCS website mods and vice verse. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=125452 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=113587 To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

You CANNOT use modules bought on the DCS website to activate in Steam. It even says so in the first point in one of those links. Edited October 31, 2014 by AceRevo X-55 profile for the F-15C
