Archer7 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) Edit: even better would be if you could modify DCS to natively detect the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS neutral switch positions such as EAC Off when you simplyplug and play so we could use such commands in any aircraft natively. Hi, ED. Can you please add three "flaps (set to) up/manoeuvre/down" commands? I don't believe I have to explain what I mean by this but I will explain it anyways and also explain why we need it in some detail: What do I mean? Currently only "flaps up" and "flaps down" commands are available in DCS so if you have a three-position switch that you wish to use to control your flaps you can only set it to move the flaps up one step or down one step at a time if you move it up or down with the middle position doing nothing which is clearly suboptimal. What I want is to be able to use the switch naturally: set it to up to move flaps to full up, set it to middle to move flaps to manoeuvre and set it to down to move flaps to full down. Why we need it... We don’t need it in the A-10C since the entire Warthog HOTAS works perfectly using plug and play however we do need it in all other aircraft (and the A-10C by extension). I've created a Warthog HOTAS profile that uses all 75 commands available on it and that doesn't skip a dozen neutral positions the way it does if you only plug and play. What this allows me to do is use all switch positions in all aircraft so for example I can use the EAC switch to set EAC to both on and off in the A-10A instead of only being able to set it to on which is very desirable. Using this profile I can perfectly emulate the A-10C vanilla controls: except for the flaps control. So: we need commands that allow us to use the flaps controls in a natural way and if we get this we will be able to use the flaps control naturally in all aircraft, which also is the final bit not working in my universal Warthog profile that is supposed to allow usage of all commands available with any aircraft without having to switch any profiles: as it should have worked out of the box. Also: centre position commands for the china hat and speed brake switches would be nice too since they’re non-existent though I’m currently not having any issues with the operation of them.
