Svend_Dellepude Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 The last time i checked the "stick to trimmer" acted more like an analog hat switch in the that sense that; you press and hold the "stick to trimmer" button and normal stick operation is disconnected. For you guys with a TM WH. It works exactly the same way as setting an axis up to be relative instead of absolute in TARGET. If you the move the joystick (still holding the button) you trim up/down/left/right. extreme joy position means faster trim, subtle joy movements means slower trim. It's not like that Black Shark where you press trim, move stick to desired position and then release trim. Although that would be really nice. ED Team Yo-Yo Posted November 26, 2014 ED Team Posted November 26, 2014 Why is there no auto trim? In real plane I mean. Because "autotrim" makes the plane neutral for speed. For some reasons it is not safe, because it eliminates the natural "speed feeling" from the stick, that is distinctive for the most of positive stable conventional planes. TH understand what it really means you can watch the plane behaviour in "Landing" mode, when it is neutral. Ive played with it some more yesterday and found it to be rather awkward. More often than not the stick will jump a bit after releasing the trim button and the plane will pitch up and down, which in turn will change the speed or altitude and require more trim....Yeah I wonder why they dont implement a 'helo' trim function in (real) planes anyway. Maybe there are safety considerations involved?
