Aircraft need to be more dynamic......

I am specifically talking about transport aircraft and helos. If the modules are going to feature infantry forces, the transport aircrafts and helos need to have scripts built in where infantry can be preloaded on the aircraft when setting up missions. We should be able to set up waypoints where high performance aircraft like the C-17 can drop paratroopers or that a Blackhawk could be loaded with 7 infantry troops and disembark them during an air assault.

 

I don't understand that we could have this type of game that comes with a mission editor and a good number of assets to help create some great missions, but we have aircraft that practically do nothing. It is very frustrating trying to put together missions where I could put to use the infantry in a more dynamic way.

For the C-130 dropping troops - there's no animation of paratroopers under chutes, but unless you're actually interested in seeing the troops fall, that could be done now in the ME with either with just simple triggers & zones (seeing as how IRL the drop zone(s) are defined before takeoff) or with scripts.

 

Similarly - Helicopters can already deliver troops & cargo - again, either to one or another of a number of pre-defined areas using simple triggers and/or advanced actions in the ME, or more dynamically using scripts.

 

Or are you just asking if someone can give you some scripts ?

(setting helicopters to pick up and drop troops is fairly simple in the ME)
