The electronic cage button - and automatic bomb release

I'm noticing that when i move the pipper over a target and keep the electronic cage button pressed for automatic bomb release, the pipper still moves around.

Is that normal or it should stick over the target ?

You must release the pipper cage when it is on the target, engage consent to release and the pipper will move around while you keep it lined with the target.

It does not stick to the target as later planes do.
