BBQ Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Somehow came across this "TACP Party Set" on Amazon when searching for books on JTACs/TACPs. My jaw hit the floor when I realized it's an action-figure set! And I thought action-figures were expensive in 1977 :)
cichlidfan Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Did you look at the rest of the product line? That one isn't the most expensive either. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_toys-and-games?ie=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=Soldier+Story&node=165793011 ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! BBQ Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 Wow. get your PLA Soldier figure for just $499. Seriously, I could almost understand the price if they were collector's items, ie, no longer manufactured, only 5 of them in the world, etc. -- but are in stock new items!
cichlidfan Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 It's too bad as some of them would be very cool to have (from my 1960's G.I. Joe perspective). BBQ Posted November 29, 2014 Author Posted November 29, 2014 And I thought the figure that came with lightsabers were cool! That TACP Kit has just about everything you need, except for maybe some MRE's!
Tumbleweed Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I had my dad's old 60s Action Men handed down to me when I was a kid. I had absolutely hours of fun in my Grandma's back yard playing soldiers with all the accessories and the tank. Between that, computers and Lego, being a kid in the 80s was BRILL!
