Sokol1_br Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 This sensor - HAN 18 - cost 18$ through Alibaba, the doubt is will suitable for joystick use? Opinion? The advantage is the potentiometer like assembly. http://sensor-china.en.alibaba.com/product/918498123-214492368/New_Product_HAN18_Analogue_Hall_Encoder_for_Angle_Measuring.html
FSFIan Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Looks like you can simply supply it with 5V or 3V, hook up the output pin to an ADC input and you are good to go. A proper datasheet that explains the internal operation would be nice though. I am a bit fuzzy on the purpose of the F_R pin and why they specify a resolution (10-bit) for an analog device. There is probably a microcontroller on the inside that does some data munging before using a 10-bit DAC to generate the output signal, but that's only a guess. There is also this model which seems to be the same one but with a digital interface. That one also supports 12-bit resolution. BTW, where did you find a price of $18? All I found was "$1 - 80 a piece". DCS-BIOS | How to export CMSP, RWR, etc. through MonitorSetup.lua
Sokol1_br Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 The price was informed by sales representative, I have asked for "HALL sensor".
