Flanker35M Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 S! Jcomm, how much rudder input and how much was the sideslip? If I really want to fly the K-4 "ball centered" I have to use rudder all the time, depending on the speed. And in longer sessions it is a bit tiresome, not so young anymore ;) The higher the speed the more ball veers off center. Yes, but that's "historically" correct :-) All descriptions you have match that need for using right rudder at higher power / climbs / slow speeds, and right rudder above around 450 km/h... I can fly hands-off at the published ( in various sources I don't recall right now ) ~ 400 km/h, above that having to start to use left rudder... The problem is not with the use of rudder, but rather with the need to use left ailron inputs to avoid right banking at almost all speeds / AoAs... I believe this is due to an overdone setting of the aileron trim tab, and I was trying, just as I did with the Fw190 D9, to fine tune it. Probably it will work after the next patch ( ? ) But so far this aircraft is simply REMARKABLE !!!! The stability, specially in combat, is GREAT! Only problem is still those wings breaking apart a bit too easily, but using a stronger spring in my x55 made quite a difference, and I am getting fine tuned myself for not breaking them so easily :-) I LOVE DCS, and for the very first time, being in MP sessions where I can actually enter combat because I can glimpse te other aircraft around me, thanks to the icons :-) Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
Flanker35M Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 S! Could also be a bit strong prop torque causing it. But I find it a nuisance at most. Now begun to finally nail the landings on the Bf109K-4 :) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D Motherboard: ASUS TUF X670E Memory: G.Skill Neo Z5 64Gb GPU: AMD Radeon RX9070XT HDD: Samsung EVO SSD x 2 Monitor: Alienware 34" Flight gear: Virpil stick, MFG pedals OS: Windows 11 Pro
