The F-86F is equiped for automatic toss bombing with nuclear weapons in the vertical, but I'm using it here to manual lob, 500 pounders, at 30 degrees, at the ammo factory practice site. Normally you would slice away immediately after release, but I'm overflying to watch the impact point.

It has a good result.

Heh, great shots.

I'll have to give this a try.

Any tips you can think of to improve accuracy?

It was designed to lob nukes, so anywhere on the runway was accurate. :)

So pick yourself a recognizable spot on the map to lob, e.g.

railway etc. and pull up at 4 g at that point. Use the AH to get the 30 deg manual release point.

Fly low fast and steady on the approach. Release and see where it falls.

Adjust your next run pull up point, but keep the approach and pull up consistant. Eventually all the bombs will fall fairly tight.

Or maybe use the auto system.
