Which would give me an alternative to struggle for hours and hours and end up re-installing everything every single time when a patch comes out. The full release of DCS module WORLD is always updated to the latest release, it would be nice to see a separate "follow-up" update file aswell. ( ideally simply storing all the releases ) IMHO the current updater is too easily corrupted and unreliable. 9JG54_Stray Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Well I am new to DCS and both last updates broke it for me. HAd to reinstall the whole thing. Plus, today's update gave me flickering glitches on the airstrips and weapons attached to nothing, still flying with remains of my aircraft ( no wings, just fuselage dropping down and weapons still attached to invisible wings ). Could be something to look into by DCS team.

I am very happy that we left the "Patch_a.b.c.x.y.EXE hell" behind us with DCS World and that we can use the convinient autoupdater which keeps track of it all - no matter if you upgrade or downgrade your installation, together with all installed modules. :o) Edited December 13, 2014 by Flagrum

Could be something to look into by DCS team. Besides that this is quite a bit off topic in this thread ... these are known issues and I bet, ED is already working on it.
