Decibel dB Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 When I go into option for graphic what I am suppose to have under those? At Aspect ratio I have 1.7777777778 and I can't change it to 16:9 As for the res of cockpit display where it should be?
Charly_Owl Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Take your calculator, divide 16 by 9 and prepare to be amazed. :D 1 Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Chuck's Guides on Mudspike Chuck's Youtube Channel Chuck's Patreon

Decibel dB Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) OK I understand that if I select 16:9 it will give me or indicate 1.7777777777778 on the tab not 16:9 anymore? What about res of cockpit? I surely have something wrong because it's not smooth at all Edited December 12, 2014 by Decibel dB
Random Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Aspect ratio is dictated by resolution. I always leave mine at default. Cockpit resolution is the resolution of the mirrors or MFD's etc. Generally 512 is high enough as they occupy such a small area of the screen usually. What are your system specs and what are your graphics settings?
Decibel dB Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 I run my settings at medium to high, the shutter are un-playable. I notice today that I ad a lot's of double mapping on both P51 and F86, I've clear them all and re do the mapping again one by one, the shutter stops. I tough that was the problem with my X55 , but the shutters came back after a few try. Here's my spec: Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i7 4930K @ 3.40GHz 27 °C Ivy Bridge-E 22nm Technology RAM 16.0GB DDR3 @ 667MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Random Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 If you are running DCS at 4k you will have low fps I'm afraid. Especially with ATI GPU's That spec should run 1920x1080 OK.
Decibel dB Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 :( dispointed. Can't go back at low res I am afraid, but the problem is not the fps
Random Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Well stuttering IS low fps... DCS 2.0 will utilise GPU's far more effectivley and with 4gb of VRAM andva pair of them at that it should give you a perfectly smooth experience A few other things to consider..4k doesnt need antialiasing so AA and TSAA off will smooth out the framerate some more. Or 1440 with AA and TSAA looks very nearly as good as 4k ;) Edited December 12, 2014 by Random

You think my shuttering is very low fps? It sometime looks like the ground is shaking, it's very hard to explain but it doesn't look like it's my problem. Maybe I use the wrong term
Random Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Hmm sounds strange! I can't offer any more help really.
