Activation

Just bought FC3. How in the hell do I activate it? I've spent the last hour searching for a way to activate this thing!:(

Start a mission. It will ask.

Any mission using one of the aircraft included in FC3 (either built in or home made). Right after you click fly, a dialog will pop up asking for the activation code.

None of those aircraft show up in the mision screen

Did you download and install the FC3 module?

From the pulldown choose one of the HTTP mirrors.

 

This is not like ROF or BOS (if you are used to their setup), each module is a separate download.

How do I install the FC3 module? The .exe asks where to install and when I point it to the DCS folder under Steam, it tells me I have to have DCS World installed, which I do in Steam.

You can't use a module downloaded from ED on a Steam install. Even if the installer wanted to work, the key will not.

So I have to re-install DCS World outside of Steam? Also, do the Steam modules work on an outside install?

Yes.

 

If you have other modules on Steam, those keys can be used on and ED download. It is just the reverse that will not work.
