tail hook won't deploy on SU-33

I've never been able to get the tail hook to come down on the SU-33 while attemting a carrier landing. Is it because my approach isn't good? Will the tailhook only come down under a perfect approach?

No- it should work. There was a key command change for 1.1. Re-print your key comands list from the doc folder.

 

G: gear up/down

ALT+G: Tailhook up down

 

There are also Shift & ctrl combo commands if you want a separate "up" & "down" for the gear.

yeah, alt-g is working now, not sure what was happening.
